“Natasha’s Law has Made Eating Out Safer for My Son”
Elia Hughes’ son, Eddie, 17, lives with milk, cashew, and pistachio allergies.
Before Natasha’s Law, eating outside the home was stressful and risky.
Simple social experiences could feel unsafe, and family outings often required careful planning.

Elia’s Story:
“Eddie was just eight years old when Natasha died. Before the change in the law, navigating food outside the home was always difficult and often unsafe.
“Natasha’s Law brought a real change. Restaurants, coffee shops, schools, universities, work canteens, and other food outlets began reviewing their processes to meet the new requirements.
“This improved the experience of eating out. Eddie, and many others like him, could enjoy meals outside the home more safely and take part in important social experiences without fear.
“I am so grateful to Tanya and Nadim, and to everyone working to make the world safer for people with allergies.”
