Neffy Arrives in the UK: A Needle-Free Option for Treating Anaphylaxis

Back in July 2025, we shared the exciting news that EURneffy® (Neffy) had been approved by the MHRA in the UK - the first needle-free nasal spray for anaphylaxis.

As of 20 October 2025, we’re pleased to confirm that EURneffy® has now arrived in the UK.

It’s currently available on private prescription, and NHS access is expected soon as it’s introduced across allergy services nationwide.

For families living with severe food allergies, this is a welcome and reassuring development.

What is EURneffy®?

EURneffy® is an adrenaline nasal spray designed to treat severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) - without the need for a needle. This makes it a valuable alternative or addition to traditional adrenaline auto-injectors (AAIs) such as EpiPen® or Jext®.

For many children and families, the idea of using a needle in an allergy emergency can be frightening. EURneffy® needle-free design offers extra peace of mind and could make life-saving treatment for anaphylaxis faster and less intimidating.

Who is EURneffy® for? What are the benefits of EURneffy®?

  • Suitable for anyone weighing 30kg or more.

  • Always carry two doses, as a second may be needed in some emergencies.

  • Small and portable, with a long shelf life (up to 30 months).

  • Not affected by extreme temperatures, making it easier to carry anywhere and everywhere.

what do the experts say about EURneffy®

What do the Experts Say?

Early data suggests that EURneffy® works effectively for most people at risk of anaphylaxis.

The British Society for Allergy and Clinical Immunology (BSACI) has said Neffy may help reduce hesitation to carry or use adrenaline, an important step for improving allergy safety and confidence.

However, BSACI also advises that EURneffy® isn’t suitable for everyone. If you’ve ever needed more than one dose of adrenaline, or have experienced severe anaphylaxis with low blood pressure, you should continue carrying an AAI.

Your GP or allergy specialist can help you decide whether EURneffy® is right for you or your child.

Guidance on Adrenaline Treatment and Next Steps

  1. Speak to your GP or allergy doctor about whether EURneffy® could be suitable for you.

  2. Always follow your Allergy Action Plan.

  3. Remember: whether you use EURneffy® or an AAI such as EpiPen or Jext, you should call emergency services immediately after using adrenaline.

A Step Forward for the Allergy Community

At The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, we welcome every innovation that helps people living with severe food allergies feel safer, more confident, and more in control.

The arrival of EURneffy® in the UK is a potentially game changing moment and another important step toward ensuring that everyone at risk of anaphylaxis has access to life-saving treatment options that work best for them.
