The Story Behind the 14 for 14 Challenge
Matt and Sarah Bacon launched the 14 for 14 Challenge in 2024 to help people understand the daily realities of living with severe food allergies.
Their daughter Savannah, aged 7, has multiple severe allergies and has experienced numerous hospital visits.
Matt first took on the 14 for 14 Challenge in 2024, running 14 miles for 14 days and raising over £2,000. This year, he is taking it even further: running 196 laps (14 × 14) of The Brick Community Stadium– more than 70 miles in total. Each set of 14 laps represents one of the top 14 food allergens. If you would like to learn more about Matt’s 2025 challenge, read the blog here.
